For her first solo album, Vieira returns to the music of her youth, the sound of the 'sambasoul' that came from Rio's many transistor radios in the 1970s. Vieira and her Dutch backing band play their own compositions, but each one sounds as if they were composed on a Brazilian beach thirty years ago. Compared to Zuco, Lilian solo sounds a bit less electronic, but everyone who fell in love with her full voice at the time will certainly enjoy this great album. (PdK)more
