… Club album. An artist who releases a new CD at such an advanced age commands respect. "Le mejor de le vida" has become a voyage of discovery for me. As a lover of pop music you don't easily put on a CD like this. Although not everything always sounds clear, the disarming enthusiasm with which the often old Cuban compositions are performed is the biggest plus of this CD. Songs like "Es mejor vivir asi", a wonderful duet with the singer Martirio, unknown to me, and "La pluma" with bolero singer Omara Portuondo are of a moving beauty. (CK) _more
