On It Isn't Until It Is (abbreviated IIUII), British singer-songwriter Fink performs live versions of songs found on his albums
Biscuits For Breakfast (2006),
Distance And Time (2007),
Sort Of Revolution (2009),
Perfect Darkness (2011) and
Hard Believer (2014). Often these are completely different versions of the originals, but with the characteristic styles that Fink has incorporated into his music
… over the years. You can hear trip hop, downtempo electronics, acoustic guitar music and folk. The atmospheric reinterpretations of his songs often build up slowly and have a melancholy undertone. The songs were recorded as a band, besides Fink bass player Guy Whittaker and drummer Tim Thornton played on IIUII. (JvQ)more
