The Icelandic company GusGus has been active since 1995. In the years that followed, the group changed its size and composition regularly, with the only two permanent 'core members' Stephan Stephensen and Birgir Þorarinsson. … music: the Icelanders have gradually specialized in vocal house and electronica with a 'twist'. This is also the case in Mexico, which is released by the renowned Cologne label Kompakt, best known as a supplier of 'minimal techno'. GusGus never really takes the easy road on Mexico, because while many tracks will do well on the dance floor, their music is too idiosyncratic to fill stadiums.
