Three country rock singers with successful careers - solo and in bands - joined forces in 2004. Caitlin Cary (ex-Whiskeytown), Lynn Blakey (Glory Fountain) and Tonya Lamm (Hazeldine) met at gigs, became friends, and started singing together for fun. The sequel Bloom, Red & The Ordinary Girl - the album title refers to the nicknames the ladies have made up for each other - was recorded by the English producer Neil Bruckbanck, so that the necessary European influences have also crept into the typical Americana sound.
