The Finnish band The Rasmus has been around since 1994, but it took until 2003 before they became known in the Netherlands with the single In The Shadows. In their own country, on the other hand, and also in the other Scandinavian countries, they have become true stars. The Rasmus was founded by four classmates Lauri (vocals), Pauli (guitar), Aki (drums) and Eero (bass). The debut album Peep was
… released in 1996 and achieved gold status in Finland. The successors all went gold and some support acts for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Garbage and many sold-out concerts later Finland has become too small for the band. The gaze then turned to the Baltic states, Germany and the rest of Europe. The fifth album is called Dead Letters and is full of melodic, catchy rock with sometimes an alternative edge. But the most important asset is singer Lauri, who makes many girls' hearts beat faster with his interesting appearance. (IV)more
