… Madden were allowed to make their presentation debut on MTV in 2000. Perhaps the success of Good Charlotte can also be explained from their musical direction. The band has mastered the fast, fresh punk rock style but also mixes this with modern rock influences, which even tend to nu-metal at times. The Young And The Hopeless therefore offers something for every young lover of modern guitar music. And although Good Charlotte is actually not above average in terms of quality, it is also in danger of becoming immensely popular in the Netherlands. So they are not that common. (RWK)more
