Charlie Haden was the mid-sixties known as the bass player in the band of Ornette Coleman and is therefore regarded as one of the pioneers of the free jazz. Haden later led a band called The Liberation Music Orchestra with Carla Bley. In the seventies and eighties he started with Don Cherry, Dewey Redman and Ed Blackwell quartet Old and New Dreams. … country, bluegrass and folk. That was the music he played as a child with his family in the Haden Family Band. Just before his death, he returned to the music with the album Rambling Boy. Charlie's four children are all entered the music. His daughters Petra, Tanya and Rachel perform as The Haden Triplets. His son Josh is the frontman of Spain.more
