Led Zeppelin rose from the ashes of the British blues rock band The Yardbirds, and shot at the beginning of the seventies directly into the stratosphere. Driven by a thirst for drink and enjoyment and tough blues-based riffs, they grew into one of the greatest bands of their time. Their intense musical quests also defined the hard rock sound, their love of folk ballads their elusiveness as rock gods
