Philip Catherine has been a guitarist in a class of about forty years. Born in London of WWII as the grandson of the first violinist of the London Symphony Orchestra, he emigrated at an early age with his family to Belgium. He started playing the guitar, inspired by his hero Django Reinhardt and George Brassens. All this soon led to collaboration with jazz greats such as Chet Baker, Stephane Grappelli,
… Dexter Gordon and Charles Mingus, but also appealing to own productions.more
