That thought also led to the Sources tour with which 3JS visited the theaters in 2013. In the performance the group alternates covers and own songs. Sometimes the two merge, as in the opening
… song in which 3JS 'own For Once And Always turns into U2's Beautiful Day. The group plays in the setting of a boy's room decorated with pop posters. Between the songs, the three band members love to talk about their favorite artists. Sometimes with a funny anecdote, such as that of Jaap Kwakman who tells how he managed to change his mother from a fan of Corry Konings to a Pink Floyd fan. When you then hear Jaap play Time's guitar solo perfectly, you will understand why. The group also plays covers of Coldplay, The Doors, Golden Earring, Boudewijn de Groot and Bob Marley. Sources is a sympathetic initiative. Would be nice if more artists follow this example. (PdK)more
