Although singer / songwriter Teitur is from the Faroe Islands, he has lived in Denmark since the age of seventeen where he is an established recording artist. On November 30, 2008 he gave a concert in the capital Copenhagen, accompanied for the occasion by the Danish National Vocal Ensemble and the Danish National Chamber Orchestra. More than a year and a half later, the concert is released on CD
… and DVD. It must be said: a nice balance has been found between the intimacy of Teitur's songs and the grandeur of the orchestra and choir. It is a pity that a collaboration between pop and classical always seems to have to lead to an overly solemn atmosphere, in which spontaneity is hard to find.
