British punk band Wire was formed in 1977 and quickly emerged as an experimental version of the genre. Wire's debut album Pink Flag is seen as a classic and bands like REM and Radiohead see Wire as a great source of inspiration. The band has been on its hole a number of times in the past decades and experienced several comebacks. In 2003 the band released the strong Send. As a result, the crass
… fifty-somethings took to the stage again. They did this at the Triptych Festival in Glasgow, of which this DVD is a registration. Wire's psychedelic side is beautifully expressed in the light show and repetitive rhythms. The bonus material goes one step further and shows four songs in which the band members are behind semi-transparent screens, with all kinds of images projected on them.
