The North Brabant trio Vals Licht has existed since 1994. After a number of demos and singles, the band, at that time described as the Dutch Pearl Jam, released its debut album Lunapark in 1998. The sales figures of that record are disappointing and that is probably the reason that Dieseljunks appears with a different record company and plays a different, more commercial band sound.
