The title track of Neil Diamond's new country rock-tinged album Tennessee Moon is an ode to country legend Hank Williams. This immediately set the tone for this album, because it is obvious that this album was recorded in the country mecca Nashville. The album features country rockers such as A Matter Of Love and the Waylon Jennings duet One Good Love. The ballads known from Diamond are also included.
These are also the highlights of the album. Just listen to the beautiful duets Marry Me with Buffy Lawson and Deep Inside Of You with Beth Nielsen Chapman. However, it also becomes clear that his voice has unfortunately decreased somewhat at the age of 54. This album was further collaborated by legendary guitarist Chet Atkins, former Elvis Presley drummer Ronnie Tutt and The Mavericks' Raul Malo who sings the duet Reminisce For A While with Neil Diamond. Also notable is the remake of his 1967 classic Kentucky Woman.more
