… was a candidate. Since then Lambert has been Mercury's replacement and it is not even excluded that this new team will one day dive into the studio. That would be nice for Lambert because vouching for the world star Mercury will always be an ungrateful task. On Live Around The World we hear that he is doing very well in terms of vocal technique and enthusiastically plays to the audience. But he lacks Mercury's character and charisma and will always be a trained American Idols singer. Live Around The World is a potpourri of Queen hits that can serve well as a souvenir for those who were there. But Queen + Adam Lambert is a revival band and will always pitifully stand in the shadow of the original Queen. (MR)more
