Eddie C stands for Eddie Currelly, a former Canadian who nowadays considers Berlin his home port. Green Space is his fourth album and, just like its predecessors, consists of relaxed trip hop and lofi house, produced by clever cutting and pasting in C's studio. Unfortunately, this only yields a dozen excellent rhythm tracks that after a while each raise the question when the song is actually going
… to start. And that's a shame, because this poignant lack of variety could easily have been solved by collaboration with other musicians. Now Green Space functions best as a pleasant musical wallpaper. Unfortunately, it does not deliver an in-depth listening experience. (AD)more
