Always a shame, if you discover a CD just too late for your annual list. Certainly when it turns out that the artist in question has already built up an impressive discography and, in retrospect, had received very high marks for her latest album. … by . Since then, the Canadian-born singer-songwriter / multi-instrumentalist has released four more records, culminating in 2016's Impossible Dream for now. Ten indie guitar songs in the very best tradition of (Your Mom Is Right), and, more recently, , . Highlights are the fast-paced Kismet Kill and the shoegaze-like Skynz (note the adrenaline-boosting acceleration after roughly ten seconds!). But actually Impossible Dream has no weak brothers.
