Opener Best Song Ever starts exactly like The Who's Baba O'Riley and Diana and the title track also have a lot of cool guitars. Where comparable acts (Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus) flirt with house and hip-hop, One Direction continues to sound like a slick indie band. An indie band without instruments and therefore without an ugly bass player or drummer. No, these are beautiful boys with beautiful songs that sound like a clock.
