Sarah and Gert Bettens decided not to release their very first soundtrack as K's Choice, but to come up with a new name: Bettens. Waving At The Sun is the soundtrack to a documentary in which Dixie Dansercoer and Sam Deltour break the world record for the longest non-motorized and non-resupplied expedition in Antarctica. The CD contains a number of instrumental pieces that symbolize the emptiness
… and loneliness of the South Pole. The songs that are sung to are also subdued. It's a nice CD, but it's good that Sarah and Gert have chosen a new name for it. The average K's Choice fan probably won't be able to handle this. The music undoubtedly works great with images of vast snow plains, but as a single album it is a bit on the lean side. (HF)more
