… the Italian island of Sicily. From his early teens he became addicted to reggae and in 2001 he even moved to Jamaica. Not that the Jamaicans welcomed him there with open arms. They nicknamed him 'borosie' which, depending on which website you consult, means 'fagot' or 'idiot'. Alborosie never let himself be known and in the end the singer / toaster also managed to win over the critical Jamaicans with his authentic dancehall and roots sound.
