In 2010, the American duo Beach House worked their way to the forefront of the indie world with the album . Not surprising because their dreamy dream pop drenched in dark reverberations comes to full bloom on this third album by guitarist Alex Scally and singer / keyboardist Victoria LeGrand, aided by producer Chris Coady ( , ). So there was no reason to deviate from that formula, with the result
… that Bloom, again produced by Coady, sounds like Teen Dream part two. But despite the fact that Bloom does not surprise anywhere, it is again a beautiful album full of hazy guitar arpeggios by Scally and solemn sounds from the living room organs of LeGrand. In addition, LeGrand's dark velvet voice and her slightly melancholic melodies never get boring. The Beach House dream pop always has something ominous and seems to turn into a nightmare at any moment. That is where the strength of this duo lies, also on this successful fourth album. (MR)more
