Because her music increasingly appeared in television series and under commercials (including for Apple's iPad), more and more people got to know Leslie Feist. And so the underground singer of yesteryear grew almost stealthily into a mainstream artist. Her previous album The Reminder was also royally awarded with five awards at the Grammys. That is great, because Feist has been pursuing her own
… whimsical plan since her first album. and also play Metals, two collaborators from the very beginning, an important role. Both gentlemen produced the CD and played a variety of instruments. Feist is one of those rare artists who can write beautiful listening songs that are both artistic and innovative. The impressive opening track The Bad In Each Other immediately sets the tone in that respect. And so every song has a musical surprise in store. Everything is accompanied by Feist's angelic high voice. Metals is therefore a party for lovers of exciting alternative listening pop. (PdK)more
