The last four years it seemed as if Xander de Buisonjé appeared more often in the gossip magazines than on stage. Nothing is less true. 'I performed a lot, but mainly in private, business matters'. He also worked as a presenter, including on the TV program Zij Geloof In Mij, in which he linked detainees to nice women, and which was therefore soon nicknamed 'Boefzoekt Vrouw'. Uit Liefde is Xander's
… first album in four years, but that break did not affect his sound. For this album Xander collaborated with rock producer Gordon Groothedde. Yet there are mainly ballads on this album, a style that De Buisonjé feels most comfortable with. The rocker in Xander will therefore remain in the closet for a while. 'Nobody is waiting for a blues record from me', he told nu.nl. His regular audience is waiting for orchestrated Dutch-language pop, but no big surprises are left for Uit Liefde. (PdK)more
