There are two towns in the eastern United States called Hamden. One is located in Ohio, the other in Connecticut. One has less than a thousand inhabitants, the other is a lot bigger. The music on this third solo album by the band member of At The Close Of Everyday is no less mysterious. Hamden is an ambitious project with dark, personal songs. Eggersman sees this CD as his quest for God and thus places all his doubts, fears and hopes at the feet of the listener. Some songs just don't seem to fascinate, but they are all sincere. Hamden can be proud. (JE)more
