The lead single from the Scissor Sisters' third album suggested the worst. Fire With Fire had nothing to do with the campy dance pop of the group's past and was more like a song , with as backing band. Surely they wouldn't go serious and lose all their charm, would they? But as soon as the tight buttocks on the cover of Night Work are seen, all fear turns out to be groundless. There is a lot to

Producer ( , , ) doesn't disappoint and makes for the perfect eighties experience. Night Work was a tough birth, more than an entire album of recordings was deleted, but because of this there are actually no weak brothers on this CD. Yes, even Fire With Fire turns out to be a good pop song in this context. (JE)more
