… driving force in pop culture? Is there an expiration date sometimes? In any case, Black Francis doesn't care much about these sentiments and sings about love on this CD to his heart's content. He is helped in this by the both raw and tender production of Eric Drew Feldman. He previously played with Black Francis on albums by The Pixies and Frank Black & The Catholics and this record looks a bit like both bands. Nonstoperotik sounds like a nice summary of Black Francis's entire discography. With his unearthly screams, tormented guitars and good, sometimes unbalanced songs, Black Francis can last for years to come. (JE)more
