Konstantin Gropper is a developed owner. The German is a classically trained singer, plays various instruments and is also a writer and producer. Get Well Soon is his solo project, although Gropper plays live with a band and about fifteen people work on his second CD Vexations. The debut (2008) was well received in Germany, England and some other European countries. With Vexations Gropper went for
… a grotesque sound than on his previous album and he succeeded. Vexations is full of listening pop, which despite the layering is not very experimental or theatrical. Gropper's sustaining vocals are surrounded by peaceful landscapes of guitar, drums, wind instruments and strings. The fact that Gropper has also developed beyond music, is proven by the fact that all songs are inspired by the ideas of philosophers such as Seneca, Marx and Sartre. The title of the CD refers to a composition by , who can also be heard as an influence here and there. Vexations is not easy, but it is well thought out. (JE)more
