As it should be, TI's fifth album TI Vs TIP came out of nowhere to the # 1 spot on the US album chart. The rapper from Atlanta also scored particularly well with the predecessor King: it was the best-selling hip-hop CD of 2006 in the United States. You could call TI Vs TIP a concept album. It consists of different parts ('acts') in which both TI and his alter ego TIP have their say (hence the title).
The two personalities of Clifford Harris (his real name) have a number of 'own' tracks, and after a 'confrontation' they also come together for a few songs. An interesting concept, but the difference between the two seems to be most evident in their clothing style in the artwork. Of course TI has gathered the necessary guests who confirm his status as a superstar, among others Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Nelly and Eminem are participating. (IV)more
