The Scorpions went to Los Angeles to record Humanity: Hour 1. Not coincidentally the same city where the band recorded their successful album Crazy World in 1990. The band approached well-known songwriter and producer Desmond Child to take a seat behind the buttons. A good choice, because the sound of Desmond Child (previously heard on albums by Aerosmith, Kiss and Alice Cooper) fits perfectly with
… the stadium rock of The Scorpions. Child also co-wrote a number of songs. The fat riffs and sing-along choruses of The Game Of Life and Humanity could well give the band a hit in the fourth decade of their existence.
