The band Madrugada is one of the Norwegian bands that have steadily built a fan base all over Europe. For The Deep End they made three well-received albums: Industrial Silence ('00), The Nightly Disease ('01) and Grit ('02). Madrugada's dark style can be compared to the music of Tindersticks, Nick Cave, The Dears and Morphine. For The Deep End, Madrugada headed to the illustrious Sound City studio
… in Los Angeles to work on the follow-up to the 2002 experimental Grit under the watchful eye of renowned producer George Drakoulias (Black Crowes, Primal Scream). The Deep End is has become a varied Madrugada album, it contains the usual dark songs, but also a flamenco song like Stories From The Streets.
