A Girl Like You was one of the best alternative hits of the nineties. Before that, Collins had had a fairly successful career in England as the singer of the new wave group Orange Juice, while even after that hit he still made work that was worth listening to. This CD is a good introduction to the oeuvre of a talented singer and songwriter, who is wrongly known in the Netherlands as a one-day-fly.
