The German synth duo Modern Talking scored big European hits in the eighties with You're My Heart, You're My Soul and Brother Louie. Eighteen years after their debut 1st Album, sun-tanned friends Dieter Bohlen (the blonde producer) and Thomas Anders (the dark singer) still guarantee feather-light pop, which is production-oriented towards the latest technological developments. I'm Gonna Be Strong,
… for example, is a straight copy of Cher's Believe and the other fleeting songs on Victory also seem made for popular radio. The familiar synthi-pop sound is occasionally provided with disco and house influences. In Germany Modern Talking is still a big name, but in the rest of Europe the two previous records have gone unnoticed. This album (the eleventh again) offers nothing that will change this situation.
