Joe Nichols was born in Rogers, Arkansas. His father was not only a truck driver but was also a bass player and singer in a local country band. The apple does not fall far from the tree, we could say here, because instead of a firefighter, Joe Nichols wanted to become a country singer from an early age. … his peers listened to, he remained interested in country with George Jones, Marty Robbins and Merle Haggard as great examples. In 1996 his debut album Joe Nichols was released, which did little. Only in 2002 he got the chance to record a new album (with a large company), which resulted in Man With A Memory. The album was produced by the Nashville session guitarist Brent Rowan and State, unlike Nichol's youthful looks, full of typical Nashville country songs. Despite, or because of this rather formulaic sound, the album and the single Brokenheartsville became a great success in the United States. (IV)more
