High-level vocal jazz can be found on the new Shirley Horn CD. "Loving you" contains an excellently chosen repertoire, including: "The man you were", "Dreamy", "Someone to light up my life", "In the dark", "Kiss and run" and "All of a sudden my heart sings ". Impressive are the songs on which Horn only accompanies himself on the piano: the title track "Loving you", "Should I surrender" and "It amazes
… me". Furthermore, there are two more songs by the Brazilian Ivan Lins on this 11-track album: "Love dance" and "The island". Horn's phrasing and timing are beautiful.
