This collaboration album was recorded in the Rainbow Studio in Oslo where many Scandinavian jazz records from the label saw the light of day. These jazz albums were the source of inspiration for this project in which Norwegian DJ Prins Thomas joins forces with his fellow countryman and jazz pianist Bugge Wesselhoft. The opening track, which lasts over 18 minutes, is a sea of warm tapestries
… of sound in which the harmonious and virtuoso piano playing of Wesseltoft is supplemented with exotic drums (by , a familiar from the ECM label) and soft electronic sounds echoing in the distance. The songs on this album take on grand shapes and have a sensing character. You notice that the two artists give each other space in improvised-looking songs. Jazz and IDM gracefully revolve around each other here on an extremely atmospheric album. (JvQ)more
