Besides Glasper, the other constant factor is Chris Dave, a drummer who knows how to handle complicated jazz material as well as tight hip-hop beats. On the first six jazz tracks they are accompanied by bass player Vincente Archer. In the second half the bass is taken over by Derrick Hodge and the trio is supplemented by saxophonist Casey Benjamin, turntablist Jahi Sundance and guest appearances from rapper Mos Def and singer Bilal.
