The new Yellowjackets CD, entitled, Club Nocturne, provides an atmosphere of the evening / night with its special moments. The CD exudes a dreamy atmosphere. Tracks on this CD include The Evening News, Love And Paris Rain (with vocals by Brenda Russell), Twilight For Nancy and All Is Quiet, with vocals by the promising jazz singer Kurt Elling. It can also be heard on the song Up From New Orleans,
… a song that briefly describes the history of jazz. On Even The Pain there is also vocals by Jonathan Butler, with percussionist Munyungo Jackson as a guest. Yellowjackets, consisting of Russell Ferrante (piano / keyboards), Jimmy Haslip (bass), William Kennedy (drums) and Bob Mintzer (tenor / soprano sax), has delivered an exciting and catchy CD with Club Nocturne.
