André Ceccarelli is one of the better drummers of our time. On his new CD "From the heart" he can be heard together with tenor / soprano saxophonist Sylvain Beuf, pianist Jean-Michel Pilc and bassist Thomas Bramerie. The CD contains ten original songs, mostly written by the members of this jazz formation. Ceccarelli swings, accompanies and plays especially in the foreground. Among others: "Decision",
… "Desideri", "Spiral of love" and "Chaotic romance". This jazz is full of beautiful rhythms and melodies. Special is "Moussolou", with vocals by Oumou Kouyaté and Maryam Diabaté and Louis César Ewandé on djembé (beautiful percussion on this song!). "Every mood" features a special guest singer, Dee Dee Bridgewater. All in all, this has become a recommendable CD.more
