The death of her childhood hero Michael Jackson, in the summer of 2009, affected Trijntje Oosterhuis to such an extent that she locked herself up with guitarist Leonardo Amuedo for evenings to play Jackson's songs. … Never Can Say Goodbye, with handsome guitar arrangements in which every motif from the original versions has found a place. The love songs but also the funky dance numbers, all songs are immediately recognizable but still got their own stamp.
