Musical star, singer and actress Simone Kleinsma had the silent desire for many years to make a CD with repertoire by Doris Day. A decision was made: Eric van Tijn and Jochem Fluitsma were happy to take care of the production. The DVD contains a nicely designed index and no less than half an hour of Simone Backstage, in which we follow Kleinsma privately during the entire creation process: from the rehearsal of the song lyrics while walking the dog in the park to the congratulations from colleagues immediately after the intimate concert. On September 28, 2004 the time had come. The concert took place in the Theater Fabriek in Amsterdam. Kleinsma was accompanied by a swinging All Star Bigband. Special guests were pianist Cor Bakker and singers Willem Nijholt, Stanley Burleson, Tony Neef and Carlo Boszhard. A musical evening full of warm nostalgia! (SvdP)more
